Secular Institutes in Africa: some advice from their own experience

Dear Members of the Secular Institut,

Thanks to the updated statistics we got from all our members, we discovered with pleasure that 55 Secular Institutes have 1.658 members in 37 countries of Africa. A wonderful surprise! And also a great, wide and diverse experience that is worth sharing.

So we asked these Institutes their suggestions for how to live our vocation in the very special context of Africa. And thanks to many answers that we received – and once more, we thank the Institutes that helped us -, we were able to run an overall list that you will find enclosed.

We hope that this document will be useful to all the interested or already concerned Institutes.
